Oman Air joins the board of directors of the oneworld alliance

On the sidelines of the World Air Transport Summit, which followed the 78th IATA General Assembly held in Doha, the Oneworld Alliance Board of Directors announced the merger of Oman Air into alliance membership.
Qatar Airways, a member of the oneworld alliance, will act as a sponsor for Oman Air’s entry into the alliance, providing guidance and support with Oman Air’s integration into the oneworld alliance.
Oman Air is expected to join the oneworld alliance in 2024, after which it will offer a full range of alliance benefits to customers traveling on its flights.
Members of Oman Air’s Sinbad Frequent Flight program will be able to earn miles and pay for them on all airlines that are members of the “oneworld” alliance, with top-tier members receiving Additional benefits include access to the lounge when traveling with members of the oneworld alliance.
Oman Air’s entry into the Oneworld alliance will provide more flights and destinations for customers planning to travel around the world through alliance members, making it the only global airline alliance that has three members in the Middle East after Qatar Airways and Royal Jordanian. Accession will also add new destinations to the Oneworld network including Duqm, Khasab in Oman and Chittagong (Bangladesh).
Customers of the oneworld Emerald and oneworld Sapphire, luxury cabins, will also have access to three Oman Air showrooms in Muscat, Salalah and Bangkok.
