Egypt is preparing to host the latest and most powerful tourism event during the period 6-9 September, with the participation of the 54 largest tourist destinations in the world to discuss the development of tourism in Egypt.

Yesterday, during the introductory conference held at Qubba Palace, the state announced that Egypt is organizing a tourism exhibition, the first of its kind, as the first tourist exhibition entitled “gate travel expo” to be held in the land of Egypt.

Sherine Metwally, marketing director of gate travel expo, confirmed that more than 54 of the world’s largest tourist destinations are planned to participate in the exhibition, with the aim of researching and stimulating tourism development in Egypt over the coming period.

She added that the international tourism exhibition to be held next September is planned to be held in “Qubba Palace” with the support of the political leadership, as the tourism exhibition is the first of its kind in Egypt presenting innovative ideas for development. and the revival of Egyptian tourism, following the many crises the sector has faced in recent times, starting with the Corona crisis, as well as the Russo-Ukrainian war, noting that the international exhibition is a strong addition. for Egypt and the tourism sector, especially when it is the right time, with the expectation of the return of tourism entering Egypt after the global Corona crisis, which directly affected the tourism sector.

She added that the exhibition will be attended by many sectors in the country, led by the tourism, aviation and environment sectors, as well as all ministries related to Egyptian tourism, as well as the private sector, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism. and Antiquities and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Al-Qadi explained that the tourism exhibition brings together Egyptian tourism companies and 56 participating countries, stressing that this is an honorable thing for Egypt and the tourism sector needs such an exhibition at the present time.

Moreover, the exhibition is a strong opportunity to encourage conference tourism and sports tourism, especially as Egypt is characterized by mastery of many promising types of tourism, especially as Egypt has hosted many international and African conferences, and we are in the process of organizing United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Sharm El-Sheikh in November.

Civil Aviation is ready for the event with the EgyptAir fleet

At the same time, Noura Ali, Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee on Tourism and Aviation, confirmed that Gate Travel Expo will place Egypt on the list of countries hosting international exhibitions specializing in tourism, adding, in separate statements, that holding such an exhibition will enable the promotion of the tourism and travel sector in another way.
