The first is a standard 4 + 1 layout, with two exterior rear seats with 16 adjustments and a massage device, along with a medium-sized transverse seat large enough to accommodate a third adult and provide access in a ski hat.
The second option is a four-seater configuration, with a rear keyboard between the two rear seats – allowing extra storage space or a champagne bottle cooler on the Mulliner keyboard, complete with two handmade Cumbria Crystal flutes.
Finally, customers can choose five seats if they want the rear backs to fold down.
There will not be a seven-seater version as customers have said they appreciate more the luxury on the practical side of the Extension model, and there is certainly plenty of evidence for that when it comes to comforts in the rear.
It features the new Bentley Airline seats that are said to be the most advanced ever in a car, with 22 adjustments controlled using a compact touch screen remote control.
In the reclining position, the seat can be supported up to 40 degrees and with the front passenger seat motors, the leather-trimmed footrest extends from the rear of the front passenger seat.
In business mode, the seat shifts to its most upright position to make work on the go more comfortable whether from a laptop, making phone calls or zooming in on transport.
The seats also come with the new Climate Seating technology that senses surface temperature and humidity and then decides whether to use heating, ventilation or both at the same time to maintain the passenger’s presence in optimal thermal luxury.
Position is also important, to ensure that the rear passenger remains comfortable throughout the journey, the seat position adjustment system automatically measures the pressure on the seat surface and makes precise adjustments to the seat position and pressure points.
Over a three-hour period, the system can apply 177 individual pressure changes to six completely independent pressure zones to improve passenger comfort and reduce flight fatigue.
It’s an amazing level of attention to detail for your comfort and goes beyond the places you would find on any first class flight.
Another useful feature is the power rear doors, which can be closed by pressing a button on the center keypad, instead of extending and closing them yourself.
The British car brand says: The result is a spacious, luxurious and light-filled cabin that showcases Bentley’s traditional capabilities and state-of-the-art technology.
Boss expects the EWB to represent up to 45% of all Bentayga sales when the vehicle hits stores from the third quarter of this year.
