The Education City Center is located in the Qatari capital, Doha, which hosts a number of affiliates from various international universities, including Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon, Northwestern, Texas A&M, and Virginia Commonwealth. , opened in the spring of 2015 A mosque bearing its name “Educational City Mosque” and was known locally as “Dhul-Manaratain”. The design of the mosque building is based on the concepts of “enlightenment” and “science”, and aims to revive the model of the mosque heritage, which combines worship and knowledge in one place. He meets with the College of Islamic Studies in the presence of a building with futuristic architecture inspired by Islamic art, offers religious and educational programs, competitions and organizes various events in the community, especially on religious occasions such as the month of Ramadan, offering visitors its with translation services into English and Urdu, in addition to sign language (Braille) in all sermons and lessons.

The building is built on five large pillars representing the five pillars of Islam, and in each of them is written a Qur’anic verse indicating the intended pillar. The two minarets of the mosque are among the tallest skyscrapers in the region, each reaching about 90 meters in length, and they point in the direction of the Kaaba, the Qibla of the Muslims. The mosque can accommodate 1,800 worshipers, who are divided into 1,500 on the first floor for men and 300 on the second floor for women, in addition to the 1,800 other believers in the outer courtyard of the building. Olive trees are scattered around the building as a symbol of peace, while overlooking the Quranic Botanical Garden, which includes 59 plant species mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet.

This unique building was designed by architects Ali Manjira and his wife Ada Yavars Bravo. Although the building is modern, it has won more than one international architectural award. In 2017, the College of Islamic Studies, which is an integral part of the building, won the American Architecture Award for the Educational Buildings and Cultural and Institutional Architecture categories. In 2016, the college was nominated by the Royal Institute of British Architects for its inaugural international award. In 2015, the College of Islamic Studies in Qatar won the Best Religious Building award at the International Architecture Festival in Singapore.
