Poetry Month April 2022

April is the month of poetry! Take a pen and write a song. Optional writing topic: Everything about the sea. This is a program for all ages. Put your song on the borrowing table at John F. Kennedy, Jr. library or send an email, [email protected] , no later than Thursday, May 5, 2022. The two main songs selected by the library staff will win prizes! The winners will be announced on Tuesday 10 May 2022.
Trivia Month of Arab Heritage with award-winning paintings
Visit the Caroline Kennedy Library for weekly little things and paintings appreciated during April to celebrate Arab Heritage Month. The little questions will be published every Monday on a special Arabic food show in front of the cycling table. The answers to the general questions can be placed in the box next to the screen. Recipients who correctly answer the weekly questions will be included in the prize draw. Each week, we will offer clients a cultural recipe that can be obtained from the Caroline Kennedy Library near the Arab Food Fair.
Complete display of Ramadan books and lanterns
During April, stop and watch the display of Ramadan books at the Caroline Kennedy Library. Handmade art kits will be available to collect outside our library members store. Art kits are suitable for all ages. For more information, please contact Grandpa Alhami at (313) 791-3800.

Loyal friends: The leader of the blind dogs

Leader Dogs for the Blind is an organization that provides service dogs specially trained for a visually impaired person. Meet Cathy McAdam and her boss dog, Lucy. Cathy will explain how a person adapts to their core dog and the intense training they both receive. He will also discuss how wonderful service animals offer their owners a life of independence, security and friendship. During her lifetime, Cathy had 8 leading dogs. Her experience and association with these loyal service members have enabled her to live a life that many of us take for granted – college, work, multiple trips, going to sporting events and concerts, to name a few.
