Her Highness Sheikh Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority – Dubai Culture and member of the Dubai Council, inaugurated the tenth edition of the Sikka Art and Design Festival, which is one of the components most important of the emirate’s creative scene and its activities will continue from 15 to 24 march 2022 in the Al Fahidi Historic Quarter, as part of the Dubai Art Season 2022, including a series of pioneering initiatives and new partnerships.

The festival will welcome its visitors starting today (Tuesday) with a range of exhibitions, events, initiatives and artist-led dialogues, including live music performances, interactive meetings and educational activities, with the participation of artists and artists young people from the UAE residing in the UAE and sister countries of the Arabian Gulf.

Through its slogan this year: We Believe Art, We Believe Prosperity, the festival seeks, under its new umbrella, the Sikka Art and Design Platform, to take young artists on their professional journey towards professionalism. Artistic boom in Dubai.

This year, the Sikka Art and Design Festival presents a range of special projects; These include Beit Sikka, Design House and New Media, innovative murals and outstanding artistic installations, in addition to the start of the Biennale.Au 2022, a virtual art festival that brings together artists from the UAE and residents in the UAE and Gulf states ; As well as an exhibition of non-exchangeable works of art (NFT), with art seminars, film screenings, music and singing, unique dining experiences offered by neighborhood kiosks and many other unique events. The festival also celebrates Arab Gulf countries this year through the Gulf House.
